By employing a mixed‑methods approach—combining corpus‑based frequency analysis, discourse‑analytic close reading, and semi‑structured interviews with content creators—we uncover the phrase’s layered functions: (1) a playful signifier of gendered fashion sub‑culture, (2) a meme‑like marker of authenticity (“ewe verified”), and (3) a satirical commentary on consumerism and bodily representation (“susu gede nyepong”).
