The demon in The Possession of Mrs. Hyde doesn't speak Latin. It speaks in reversed Elizabethan English. Foxx had to learn her lines backwards phonetically, then perform them forwards while the audio team reversed the track in post. The result is an unsettling, lyrical quality. There is a moment where she whispers, "Pretty little liar," but when reversed, it reveals the demon’s true name. Foxx nailed the cadence in only two sessions.
