Lexical Fragmentation and Unintentional Neologisms in Digital Cross-Linguistic Data: A Case Study of “uboatturkceyama” Abstract: This paper examines the uninterpreted string “uboatturkceyama” as a case of accidental concatenation across English, German, and Turkish lexical items. Using forensic linguistic analysis, we propose three possible segmentations: (1) “U-boat Türkçe yama” (Turkish patch for U-boat software), (2) “Uboat turkce yama” (gaming forum misspelling), and (3) non-semantic keyboard noise. We conclude that such strings often arise from copy-paste errors or OCR artifacts.
