Avatar is a 2009 American epic science fiction film directed by James Cameron. The film is set in the mid-22nd century on the planet Pandora, where humans are mining for valuable minerals. The story follows Jake Sully, a paraplegic marine who becomes an avatar driver and gets involved with the Na'vi, the native inhabitants of Pandora.
