Conflict arises when (Prithviraj), Unni Amma's grandson, falls in love with Balamani. His mother (Revathi) has already arranged a marriage for him elsewhere, leading to heartbreak for Balamani. However, Balamani is comforted by a mysterious neighbour lad named Unnikrishnan (Aravindar).
