Internally, it is a bridge device. It converts analog video signals (S-Video or Composite) into a digital bitstream that your computer can read. To do this, the computer needs a specific driver to translate that data stream into a usable video signal (usually via DirectShow or V4L2).

When the driver finally "clicks" and the blue light on the grabber glows: Do not download drivers from random "driver update"
