The ship arrives at the coordinates of the anomaly—a region of cyberspace that represents the star system of WD-1141 . Tyson reveals that 4 billion years ago, this was a thriving solar system. We see a flashback (animated in the classic, soft Cosmos style) of an alien civilization.
